Senior Backend Engineer

We seek an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team. This full-time position offers remote from LATAM. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the backend services that power BRINTA’s tax compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small, highly skilled team of engineers and product managers to design and implement backend services.
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable backend solutions using Node.js.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize services integrating with AWS services such as S3, SQS, and RDS.
• Occasionally help with frontend-related work to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend systems.
• Utilize Prisma or another ORM to interact with relational databases efficiently.
• Implement RESTful APIs using Fastify, Nest, Next, or Express frameworks.
• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of backend systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience working with Node.js (including versions 18 and 20) and TypeScript.
• Strong experience working with AWS, specifically S3, SQS, and RDS.
• Proficiency in using Prisma or another ORM for relational database interaction.
• Experience building APIs using Fastify, Nest, or Express.
• Experience with React JS.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
